Mr Bashar Alsafadi

Bashar combines over 34 years of experience as an engineer with extensive involvement in management, training, workshop facilitation and systems coaching. Following his graduation in 1981, he began his career as a field engineer with Schlumberger, a leading multinational Oil Field Services company. His strong leadership and interpersonal skills singled him out for learning & development functions and the management of several field locations in the Middle East and South America. In February 1992, he was assigned to a Personnel staff position at the Schlumberger Wireline and Testing Services Middle East headquarters. Concurrently, he held the position of Regional Training and Development Coordinator. In December 1995, he returned to Egypt and joined Environmental Quality International (EQI) http://eqi.com.eg as the Director of the Environmental Management and Design Department. During that time, he was in charge of coordinating the company's contracts with international development agencies, such as the USAID and other similar institutions, in the field of environmental protection services concerning water and wastewater treatment, air pollution, solid waste management, environmental impact assessment and Sustainable Development Tourism. In June 97, he co-founded the Microstate Corporation [Fairfax/Virginia USA] and established Microstate Mideast Ltd. in Egypt. Microstate.com pioneered Internet based publishing and destination marketing for small states. Microstate developed a Java based web authoring tool and was heavily involved in the development of dynamic database driven web sites for the Internet and enterprise-wide Intranets/Extranets. Microstate "folded" in June 2001. In 1998, Bashar co-founded Global Management Services and in 2005 Global Manpower Services "GMS" http://www.gmsegypt.com . GMS provides recruitment, outsourcing, event management, organizational development and consultancy services to national and multinational companies in Egypt and the Middle East. Since 1998, he attended several Train the Trainer courses and facilitation/coaching certification programs. In December 1999, he established Omni Services to deliver training, business consulting, workshop facilitation and relationship systems coaching services. In 2000, Bashar re-engaged with the Oil & Gas sector as an organizational development consultant, trainer facilitator and executive coach. Since then he has designed and delivered several learning programs, thematic workshops, executive & team coaching and business simulations. In 2010, he designed a soft skills development workshop for two of Schlumberger’s business segments. This program is incorporated in the company’s “fixed step” development training curriculum, and is delivered in Schlumberger learning centers in Europe, the USA and the Middle East. Bashar is an international Coach, Master Trainer and Facilitator. Bashar is a polyglot, married with two children and currently lives on a farm on the outskirts of Cairo in Egypt.
