Applied Constellations – A Third Generation NLP Perspective |
Systemic Constellations and the Third Generational NLP emphasizes the whole system. The tools of third generation NLP are also “Field Based” known as the “Fourth Position.” This perspective provides a tool for centring in our somatic core, sponsoring the greater wholeness within people, and connecting through relationships to the wisdom within the collective intelligence.
The experience of fourth position comes from finding the deeper common factors which unite and connect all of the members of the system. The fourth position comes from a felt sense of “sameness.” It also presupposes that you have already taken the other three perceptual positions (self, other and observer).
The spatial relationship between individuals, also known as psycho-geography, dramatically influences the perception of relationship between people. Altering the inner perception of spatial relationship between individuals can change the system profoundly.
As mentioned above, the key to the fourth position is: that you are completely open to what there is in the here and now. The assumption is that the wisdom necessary for change already exists in the system. The Systemic Constellation approach also acknowledges “what is.”
Our body and mind are linked to a larger relational field.” Third generation NLP is at play in this larger relational field.
