Q: Is the university fully accredited by the state of Nicaragua ?

A: Yes.

Q: Can I officially bear the title in my country, once I completed the study?

A: Standards how you can bear a titel of a fully accredited foreign university differ a lot from country to country worldwide. Please make sure to check with the appropriate institutions in your country how your country deals with foreign academic titles of accredited universities from a foreign country.

Q: When can I start with the study?

A: You can start whenever you want.

Q: Where are already independent studies in NLP and Coaching conducted? 

A: This is a completely new development. In many countries there are already MA in Coaching, often related to the faculty of psychology. In the upcoming years other universities will surely establish studies in NLP and Coaching. For students from countries where there are reservations towards new fields of studies like NLP or Coaching we recommend to choose our proven study in psychology with a focus on NLP and Coaching.

Q: What kind of a university is the UCN?

A: The Central University of Nicaragua (UCN), and its Division of International Programs, is a multidisciplinary academic institution, humanist, ethical, efficient and competitive; promoting the intercultural exchange between nations and cultures, the protection of the environment, science, technology, democracy, freedom and social justice. The quality and competitiveness of UCN graduate professionals, contribute to the economic, social and cultural development. The Central University of Nicaragua UCN is a non-profit Institution and it is fully accredited by the Federal Ministry of Education of the Republic.

In its recent history the university has conducted a campaign of international development making agreements with universities in different parts of the world to have official representatives in countries and regions like the USA, Mexico, Bolivia, Central America, Asia, and Europe.

It offers studies in areas like: social work, education, psychology, public health, management, leadership, naturopathy sports medicine, world economy, tropical medicine, philosophy, etc.

There are 4500 students and 400 people teaching stuff on the campus in Nicaragua .

Q: Am I enlisted at the university as a student during my study?

A: Yes.

Q: In what way are the associations IN and ICI involved in these studies? 

A: The International Association of NLP-Institutes (IN) and the International Association of Coaching Institutes (ICI) are involved as independent advisors without decision-making authority. That supports the realisation of the highest demands in the integration of theory and praxis. 

Q: Is it a pure distance learning study or are there any presence parts?

A: The studies in NLP and Coaching are considered blended learning. Without the standard NLP-Trainings or standard Coaching-Trainings those studies cannot be done. Besides the training parts Coachings are necessary. 

Q: Which e-learning platform does the study uses?

A: It uses Moodle, a software for online learning platforms. You work in classes together with other students. Moodle is extremely powerful in promoting cooperation. Moodle is also useful for knowledge management and work in project groups.

Q: Are existing qualifications, that have been gained prior to the start of the study (e.g. NLP or Coaching trainings), accepted as ECTS? 

A: Yes. These experiences must be backed up by formal verifications and according reflections of these experiences on the e-learning platform Moodle ECTS wil be credited. Certificates that where not sealed by IN, ICI or associations with cooperation agreements with IN/ICI, like e.g. ECA can be subject to a quality check we conduct. 

Q: What additional fees are related to the studies?

A: - Trainings that can be accepted as ECTS, like e.g.: "NLP-Practitioner, IN", "NLP-Master, IN", "NLP-Trainer, IN", "Coach, ICI", "Mastercoach, ICI", etc., cost about 2000 €. 
- The membership fee for IN/ICI range from 50 € to 250 € a year: http://www.nlp-institutes.net/membership.htm 

- The fee for the accompanying semester coaching is for each semester all together 250 €, regardless how long the semester takes in real month.
- For the sealing of certificates by ministries, like: high school committee in Nicaragua, Ministry of Education of Nicaragua, embassies and sending of material costs can be calculated at about 400 €
