Our research and practice-oriented approach:

1st Step: Research Interest and Motivation
In our study the first step is in the development and clarification of your motivation and your research project. What would you like to find out with the help of psychology? What are you most interested in? What would you like to research? What do you already know about it? What reactions do you get regarding this topic from your unconscious (this is explored with NLP)? What would you like to do later on with your results? What is your vision and mission?
Each problem that you know personally as a challenge or each problem that you see that other people have and where you would like to find solutions, is suitable as a starting point for your research project. We say, "If you know a problem, then turn it into a research."
You will acquire with this your first draft of your Research Proposal and use motivation and creativity techniques from the field of NLP and Coaching: NLP Disney Strategy, self-organization, SMART goals, NLP chunking, Logical Levels, Circle of personal excellence, mission / vision statement, NLP Hero's Journey, NLP 1.2.3.Position, New Behavior Generator, ... or similar motivation and creativity techniques.
This is first hand applied psychology. Here you already create the first draft of your first Chapter of your final paper. You write about the main psychological questions you are interested in, your experiences with these questions, what solutions you have heard of, what you have found in psychological literature about these questions and what exactly you would like to study and research in depth regarding these questions. In this first phase you already find useful facts that you can use in your practical and professional life. And you learn to approach problems with the help of psychological thinking and research - Science that creates practical useful knowledge.

2nd Step: Psychological standard knowledge
You will acquire the basics of psychology by screening the standard psychological knowledge with your research question. What does the standard psychological knowledge offer you for your research question and your interest: General Psychology, Communication Psychology, Industrial Psychology, standard instruments of Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Neuropsychology, Differential Psychology, ... You connect in your studies knowledge and findings from these psychological areas of knowledge with your research question and show that you can apply this knowledge pragmatically. By combining this knowledge with your very specific goal-oriented motivation you learn with us simple, effective, efficient and fast.

Students who are on the doctorate level have the opportunity to deepen in this step their psychological knowledge by tutoring other students.

3rd Step: Psychological knowledge from the focus area
Here you apply the procedure from step 2 on your area of specialization: Neuro Linguistic Psychology, Coaching Psychology, Business Psychology or Psychotherapy and health or a combination of the fields of specialization.
This leads you step by step to a more precise research question. You can use much of what you will acquire here for your first draft of your final paper.

4th Step: Psychological Research
What do you find in scientific research regarding your research question? Where, has who, already scientifically found what, regarding your research interest? What does this mean for you and your research design? Here you take a look around in the world of science. In which typicall style and chapters is a research report written? What steps have to be considered? What are the different types of research methods?

5th Step: Psychological Research Methods (qualitative and quantitative)
Now you will acquire the necessary knowledge in order to test your hypotheses. First, you deal with qualitative research methods interviewing at least 5 experts regarding the area of your research question. This has so far proved a very rewarding source of new inspiration and insights. Then you develop and test on the basis of all your experiences from your previous studies a quantitative questionnaire in order to test your hypotheses. For this questionnaire it is good to have at least 50 probands or study participants.

6th Step: Presentation of your Research Findings
In the 6th step, you will then present the results of your research. What have you found out? What results are significant? What can be interpreted from your results, dates and facts? Here you present them in cake and pie charts.

7th Step: Critical Discussion and Outlook
Finally, you will reflect the results critically and give a perspective on what you can do with it and where further research is needed.

Of course, the requirements are different depending on the desired degree as defined by the Dublin Descriptors. The doctorate in Clinical Psychology has a special curriculum. More details on these requirements and the content can be found in our curricula:
